The Democratic Party of the Macedonians in Kosovo ('' mk, Демократска партија на Македонците во Косово'' al, Partia Demokratike e maqedonasve të Kosovës '' sr, Демократска странка Македонаца у Косову'') - also known as DPM - is a Gorani people, Macedonian Gorani political party in the disputed territory of Kosovo that represents the Muslim Macedonian language, Macedonian-speakers of the Gora (region), Gora region. The president of the party is ''Ismail Boyda'' who is also the president of the ''Macedonian Muslim Society''. Gorani People
The Gorani (, ) or Goranci (, ), are a Slavic Muslim ethnic group inhabiting the Gora region—the triangle between Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia. They number an estimated 60,000 people, and speak a transitional South Slavic dialect, called '' Goranski''. The vast majority of the Gorani people adhere to Sunni Islam. Name The ethnonym ''Goranci'', meaning "highlanders", is derived from the Slavic toponym '' gora'', which means "hill, mountain". Another autonym of this people is ''Našinci'', which literally means "our people, our ones". In Macedonian sources, the Gorani are sometimes called Torbeši, a term used for Muslim Macedonians. Kosovo

Macedonian Language
Macedonian (; , , ) is an Eastern South Slavic language. It is part of the Indo-European language family, and is one of the Slavic languages, which are part of a larger Balto-Slavic branch. Spoken as a first language by around two million people, it serves as the official language of North Macedonia. Most speakers can be found in the country and its diaspora, with a smaller number of speakers throughout the transnational region of Macedonia. Gora (region)
Gora (Cyrillic: Гора; ) is a geographical region in southern Kosovo and northeastern Albania, primarily inhabited by the Gorani people. Due to geopolitical circumstances, some of the local Gorani people have over time also self declared themselves as Albanians, Macedonians, Bosniaks, Bulgarians, Serbs, Turks and Muslims (nationality). Gorani inhabited settlements in Albania and Kosovo are synonymous with the geographical outline of Gora as a region. Between 1992 and 1999, the Gora region in Kosovo was designated as a municipality, and its population was 17,574 people according to the 1991 census. Today in Kosovo, the region is part of Dragaš municipality that includes the Albanian inhabited Opoja region. Kosovo–North Macedonia Relations
Kosovo–North Macedonia relations are diplomatic relations between the Kosovo, Republic of Kosovo and the North Macedonia, Republic of North Macedonia.
