The Peoples Democratic Party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with its main rival, the All Progressives Congress. The 8th National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was a bicameral legislature inaugurated on June 9, 2015 and the assembly ran its course until June 9, 2019. Composition The assembly comprises the Senate and the House of Representatives. The National Assembly comprises 469 members elected across the 6 geopolitical zones of Nigeria. All Progressives Congress
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Founded on 6 February 2013 from a merger of Nigeria's three largest opposition parties, the party came to power following the victory of party candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election. This marked the first time in Nigerian history that an opposition party unseated a governing party and power was transferred peacefully. He was elected Senator for Delta Central Senatorial District in the April 2011 national elections, running on the Democratic People's Party (DPP) platform. Background Born in Ughelli, Ewherido is Urhobo by origin. Felix Ovudoroye Ibru (7 December 1935 – 12 March 2016) was a Nigerian architect the first democratically elected Governor of Delta State and Senator for Delta Central Senatorial District. Until his death he held the position of President General of the Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU). As a traditional chieftain of his homeland, Ibru bore the tribal honorific Olorogun and often used it as a pre-nominal style. Fred Aghogho Brume (Fred A. Brume, Fred Brume) (25 September 1942 – 12 September 2011) was a Nigerian politician. The Local Government Area of Ethiope East is located in the center of Delta State, Nigeria . Although it is not directly adjacent to Asagba, Asamagidi, Orerokpe, Ovwori, Orhokpokpor, Eruemukohwarien, Ekrokpe, Ughelli, or Agbasa, these places are nearby. The local government of Ethiope East is home to three districts and 67 settlements. Agbon, Abraka, and Isiokolo are the districts in Ethiope East and Isiokolo is where the local government administration is headquartered.
