Delta And The Bannermen
''Delta and the Bannermen'' is the third serial of the 24th season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in three weekly parts from 2 to 16 November 1987. In the serial, aliens called the Bannermen track down the Chimeron Queen Delta (Belinda Mayne) to a Welsh holiday camp in 1959 so they can kill her. Plot On an alien planet the genocide of the Chimeron by the merciless Bannermen led by Gavrok is almost complete. The last survivor, Chimeron Queen Delta, escapes clutching her egg. She reaches a space tollport where the Navarinos, a race of shape-changing tourist aliens, are planning a visit to the planet Earth in 1959 in a spaceship disguised as an old holiday bus. Brian Hibbard
Brian Hibbard (26 November 1946 – 17 June 2012) was a Welsh actor and singer from Ebbw Vale, Wales, best remembered as the lead vocalist in the original The Flying Pickets. Early life and career Hibbard was born into a working class family in Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire, and had a socialist upbringing. He was educated at Ebbw Vale Grammar School. After various jobs including teacher, steel worker, barman and chimney sweep, he formed The Flying Pickets with a group of other actors who had practised a cappella singing while travelling by coach to their appearances. ''Paradise Towers'' is the second serial of the 24th season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four weekly parts from 5 to 26 October 1987. In the serial, Kroagnon, the incorporeal architect of the giant residential building Paradise Towers, takes over the body of the Chief Caretaker (Richard Briers) so he can kill everyone in the Towers. The twenty-fourth season of British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'' began on 7 September 1987 with Sylvester McCoy's first story ''Time and the Rani'', and ended with '' Dragonfire''. John Nathan-Turner produced the series, with Andrew Cartmel script editing. Production Colin Baker (contracted for four years starting in 1985) was originally due to reprise his role as the Sixth Doctor prior to his dismissal at the request of Michael Grade, who said that a 24th season would only happen if a new actor took the title role. Baker was offered the chance to film a single four-part story ending in his character's demise, but he declined (as he did not want to miss out on other work in the meantime), instead offering to do the entirety of the season and leave the show at its conclusion. Andrew J. Cartmel (born 6 April 1958) is a British author and journalist. He was the script editor of '' Doctor Who'' during the Sylvester McCoy era of the show between 1987 and 1989. Malcolm Kohll (born 5 November 1953 in South Africa) is a writer and film producer. Education He attended Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa, where he trained as a journalist. On completing his course he came to London and did a post-graduate in Film and television, at Middlesex Polytechnic. Chris Clough
Chris Clough (born 9 March 1951 in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England) is an English television producer and director. Clough studied English literature at Leeds University. He went there because they had a television studio available for the students. He used the material he created there to apply for jobs and he got a job as a researcher at Granada Television. He then started directing. In 1982 he went freelance and in that decade he directed episodes of the television soap operas ''Brookside'' and '' EastEnders''.
