Delimobil (russian: Делимобиль) is one of the largest carsharing organizations in Russia, with a fleet of over 18,000 vehicles and more than 7.1 million members. Its vehicle park consists of Hyundai Solaris, Renault Kaptur, Volkswagen Polo and since October 2021 also Toyota Rav4. Delimobil's carsharing service is available in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar and Tula. Vincenzo Trani
Vincenzo Trani (born May 18, 1974) is an Italian businessman. He is the founder of the Russian car-sharing company Delimobil. Early life and education Trani was born on May 18, 1974, in Naples, Italy. He comes from a family of Italian bankers. His father served as the head of international department of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, an Italian bank which is the world's oldest bank. He is a graduate of the St. Petersburg Institute of International Trade, Economics and Law with a degree in events economics and jurisprudence. Prior to his arrival in Russia, Trani served in the Italian Army and was employed as a banker hailing different positions at Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena. Carsharing in Moscow is a rapidly developing type of public transport in the city. As of January 2020 Moscow has the largest fleet of carsharing vehicles in the world which counts more than 30,000 cars ahead of such megacities as Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai. In Moscow, more than 150,000 trips are made by carsharing cars every day. The largest carsharing operator in Moscow is Delimobil which has a fleet of 17,000 cars. Overview In 2019 the growth of carsharing service in Moscow continued to boom and by the end of the year the total carsharing fleet in Moscow reached 30,000 vehicles almost doubling from the previous year. Carsharing or car sharing (AU, NZ, CA, TH, & US) or car clubs (UK) is a model of car rental where people rent cars for short periods of time, often by the hour. It differs from traditional car rental in that the owners of the cars are often private individuals themselves, and the carsharing facilitator is generally distinct from the car owner. Carsharing is part of a larger trend of shared mobility. Carsharing enables an occasional use of a vehicle or access to different brands of vehicles. The renting organization may be a commercial business. Users can also organize as a company, public agency, cooperative, or ''ad hoc'' grouping. The network of cars on the network becomes available to the users through a variety of means, ranging from the simplicity of using an app to unlock the car in real time, to meeting the owner of the car in order to exchange keys.
