__NOTOC__ Delamere is a locality in the Northern Territory of Australia about south of the territory capital of Darwin. The locality consists of the following land (from north to south): # The Aroona and Scott Creek pastoral leases, # The Willeroo, Mathison Station, Stapleton Station and Dixie Station pastoral leases, and # The Delamere pastoral lease, the Delamere Air Weapons Range and land identified as NT Portion 2119. As of 2020, it has an area of . The locality's boundaries and name were gazetted on 4 April 2007. Its name is derived from the Delamere Station and ultimately from the name of the South Australian home of Dr WJ Browne, a former leaseholder. The Victoria Highway passes through the locality from the Stuart Highway in the east to the Western Australian border in the west. Baron Delamere, of Vale Royal Abbey, Vale Royal in the County Palatine of Chester, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 17 July 1821 for Thomas Cholmondeley, 1st Baron Delamere, Thomas Cholmondeley, a former Member of Parliament for Cheshire (UK Parliament constituency), Cheshire. This Vale Royal branch of the Cholmondeley family descends from Thomas Cholmondeley (died 1653), younger brother of Robert Cholmondeley, 1st Earl of Leinster, and Hugh Cholmondeley (1591–1665), ancestor of the Marquess of Cholmondeley, Marquesses of Cholmondeley. Tuariki Delamere
Tuariki John Edward Delamere (born 9 December 1951) is a former New Zealand politician. He served as a member of the New Zealand Parliament from 1996 to 1999, and was a member of Cabinet for the duration of his term. Early life Delamere was born in 1951 at a military hospital in Papakura, and was educated in Tauranga, attending Tauranga Boys' College. In 1967 and 1969, he was recognised as the top Māori student in New Zealand. He then attended Washington State University on an athletic scholarship. Delamere obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1974. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration from Long Island University. Delamere served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1978. He was accountant stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and later joined the staff at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. Tedstone Delamere is a village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England, north-east of Bromyard. The population of the parish at the 2011 census was 138. The etymology of the name derives from the Anglo-Saxon, Teodic after whom the villages near Bromyard were names. "Teodic's stone by the stagnant pool or standing pond." Leigh Delamere
Leigh Delamere is a small village in the civil parish of Grittleton in the English county of Wiltshire, about northwest of the town of Chippenham. The M4 motorway passes some 250 metres to the south, and the motorway's Leigh Delamere services lie to the east of the village. The civil parish of Leigh Delamere (which included the hamlet of Sevington, about one mile southwest of the village) was absorbed by Grittleton parish in 1934. Buildings The village comprises a church, a former farm, eight almshouses and eight houses. The rebuilding of the church (1846) and the construction of the Tudor-style row of almshouses (1848) were at the expense of Joseph Neeld, who bought the Grittleton estate in 1828 after inheriting a large sum. In both cases the architect was James Thomson, who also worked on the rectory (1846, also in Tudor style) and Grittleton House (from 1832).
