Deirdre Langton
Deirdre Anne Barlow (also Hunt, Langton and Rachid) is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera '' Coronation Street'', played by Anne Kirkbride. She made her first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 20 November 1972. Her final appearance was on 8 October 2014. Kirkbride decided to take an extended break from the soap in autumn 2014 and last appeared on-screen on 8 October 2014. She died in January 2015 before she could return to work. The character of Deirdre was killed off and given a farewell storyline, with her funeral taking place on 13 July 2015. An official book focusing on the character's history was released as a tribute for fans of the show in October 2015. ''Coronation Street'' is an English soap opera created by Granada Television and shown on ITV since 9 December 1960. Annie Walker (Coronation Street)
Annie Walker (also Beaumont) is a long-standing fictional character in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street''. She was played by actress Doris Speed from the series' first episode in 1960 until Speed retired from the role 23 years and 1,726 episodes later in 1983. Speed appeared as a guest of honour at the 30th birthday celebration of Coronation Street in 1990 which was hosted by Cilla Black. Kenneth Farrington
Kenneth William Farrington (born 18 April 1936) is a retired English actor. He first came to fame playing the role of Billy Walker, wayward son of publican Annie, in ITV's long-running soap opera, ''Coronation Street''. Following a brief period as a film actor, Farrington secured the role of power-hungry Tom King in ''Emmerdale''. After the character's high-profile death in December 2006, Farrington largely retired from acting, although he has appeared in occasional TV roles since then. Patricia Phoenix Booth (born Patricia Frederica Manfield; 26 November 1923 – 17 September 1986) was an English actress who became one of the first sex symbols of British television through her role as Elsie Tanner, an original cast member of ''Coronation Street'' a role which she portrayed from its first episode in 1960 until she quit the role in 1984. Elsie Tanner
Elsie Gregory (also Grimshaw, Howard and Tanner) is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'', played by Pat Phoenix from the series' inception in 1960 to 1973, and again from 1976 until 1984. Alan Brown (23 March 1926 – 7 September 1979), known professionally as Alan Browning, was an English actor. He is best remembered for portraying Alan Howard in the television series ''Coronation Street'', a role he played from 1969 to 1973. He was married to his ''Coronation Street'' co-star Pat Phoenix from 23 December 1972, until his 1979 death from liver failure as a result of his heavy alcohol intake. John Barrie (actor)
John Barrie (6 May 191724 March 1980) was an English actor who appeared in a number of television shows and films. He became well known for playing the title character on the police series ''Sergeant Cork'' from 1963–1968 and playing Detective Inspector Hudson on ''Z-Cars'' from 1967–1968. He was born in New Brighton, Cheshire in 1917 and made his screen debut in the 1954 film ''Yankee Pasha''.
