Defence Housing Authority Stadium
Southend Club Cricket Stadium (previously known as the Defence Cricket Stadium) is a cricket ground in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It has hosted only one Test match, that being the 1st Test between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, from 1 December to 6 December 1993. Pakistan won by 131 runs, mainly due to Waqar Younis taking 7–91 in the first innings and 6–44 in the second. This was his first match as captain of Pakistan, standing in for Wasim Akram. Younis became Pakistan's youngest Test captain. It remains an approved venue for Test cricket. The stadium has hosted 17 other first-class cricket matches from 1990 to 2000, and 16 List A limited overs matches from 1990 to 1999. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. The Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi ( ur, ), formerly Pakistan Defence Officers Cooperative Housing Society, is a residential neighbourhood or a housing society located within Clifton Cantonment of Karachi. West Indies Under-19 Cricket Team
The West Indies under-19 cricket team represents the countries of Cricket West Indies in international under-19 cricket. The West Indies is one of only five teams to participate in every edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, along with England, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. West Indies Women's Cricket Team Against Pakistan In 2018–19
The West Indies women's cricket team played the Pakistan women's cricket team in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates in January and February 2019. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and three Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). The WODI games were part of the 2017–20 ICC Women's Championship. The WT20I matches were played in Karachi, Pakistan. It was the first time in fifteen years since the West Indies women's team visited the country, when they played seven WODI matches in March 2004. The team arrived in Pakistan on 30 January, and were escorted by more than 500 policemen in bullet-proof buses to their hotel. Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) is the shortest form of women's international cricket. A women's Twenty20 International is a 20 overs-per-side cricket match between two of the International Cricket Council (ICC) members. The first Twenty20 International match was held in August 2004 between England and New Zealand, six months before the first Twenty20 International match was played between two men's teams. The ICC Women's World Twenty20, the highest-level event in the format, was first held in 2009. In April 2018, the ICC granted full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members. Limited overs cricket, also known as one-day cricket or white ball cricket, is a version of the sport of cricket in which a match is generally completed in one day. There are a number of formats, including List A cricket (8-hour games), Twenty20 cricket (3-hour games), and 100-ball cricket (2.5 hours). The name reflects the rule that in the match each team bowls a set maximum number of overs (sets of 6 legal balls), usually between 20 and 50, although shorter and longer forms of limited overs cricket have been played. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket.
