Departamento de Força e Luz Futebol Clube, also known as Defelê Futebol Clube, was a Brazilian football club, based in Brasília, Federal District. Founded on December 25, 1959. Their badge was red and white. History In the beginning, the Campeonato Brasiliense de Futebol were based with clubs from companies that constructed Brasília. Wander Marques Abdala, made a team with employees from the Departamento de Força e Luz. The broadcaster Jorge Curi trying to read the name of the team said "Defelê", and the supporters approved it. The Defelê were champion of the Campeonato Brasiliense three times straight, in 1960, 1961 and 1962. In 1963, Defelê played the Taça Brasil in a period that the teams from the Federal District started to become professional. The team was eliminated by Vila Nova-GO. Brasília
Brasília (; ) is the federal capital of Brazil and seat of government of the Federal District. The city is located at the top of the Brazilian highlands in the country's Central-West region. It was founded by President Juscelino Kubitschek on 21 April 1960, to serve as the new national capital. Brasília is estimated to be Brazil's third-most populous city. Among major Latin American cities, it has the highest GDP per capita. Brasília was a planned city developed by Lúcio Costa, Oscar Niemeyer and Joaquim Cardozo in 1956 in a scheme to move the capital from Rio de Janeiro to a more central location. Campeonato Brasiliense
Campeonato Brasiliense is the football league of the Federal District, Brazil. It is organized by the Distrito Federal Football Federation. Teams from other states can be affiliated to the Distrito Federal Football Federation (FFDF) as long as they are located within 200 km from Brasília. This is the case of Associação Atlética Luziânia from the state of Goiás and Unaí Esporte Clube from the state of Minas Gerais. The Taça Brasil ( en, Brazil Cup) was the Brazilian national football championship contested from 1959 to 1968. Bahia, Cruzeiro and Botafogo were the only champions to have played all phases of the tournament, because until the 1968 edition teams from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo were already qualified to the semi-finals. Both Cruzeiro and Bahia, the only champions not from Rio or São Paulo, beat the Santos Futebol Clube whose players included Pelé, Coutinho and Pepe. Vila Nova Futebol Clube, commonly referred to as Vila Nova, is a Brazilian professional club based in Goiânia, Goiás founded on 29 July 1943. CR Guará
Clube de Regatas Guará, commonly known as Guará, was an association football club from Guará, a satellite town just west of the Brazilian capital of Brasília. They won the championship of the Federal District, the Campeonato Brasiliense of 1996 and competed in 1979 in the national first division, the Série A. Guará's colors are yellow, black and white and taken from the official colours of the Administrative Region of Guará.
