Deep (2017 Film)
Deep is a 2017 English-language Spanish-Belgian-American computer-animated science fiction adventure film directed by Julio Soto Gurpide. Inspiration for the film came from Julio's deep sea diving experiences. Plot In a post-apocalyptic future the planet was subjected to an ecological catastrophe, and as a result the Earth was flooded. At the same time, sea inhabitants also suffered a catastrophe. the Kraken managed to save several inhabitants and formed a safe place to live with them, which is a colony located in the deep sea of the Atlantic Ocean. Kraken's grandson, Deep, considers life to be boring, but shows an interest in objects made by humans. He also involves his friends: anglerfish Evo and shrimp Alice. Soon one of Deep's "pranks" accidentally endangers the inhabitants of his home and encloses them by stones. Fernando Velázquez (composer)
Fernando Velázquez (born 22 November 1976. Getxo, Biscay, Spain) is a Spanish concert, film and TV composer. Among his best known works are the film soundtracks for Juan Antonio Bayona’s films: '' The Orphanage'', '' The Impossible'' and ''A Monster Calls'', for which he won the Goya Film Award for Best Original Composition in 2017. Life and career He studied cello at a number of different musical conservatories, including, from 1990 to 1993, Andrés Isasi in Getxo, Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga in Bilbao (1993–1997) and the Conservatory of Music Jesús Guridi in Vitoria, where he won the Excellence Award at the end of his studies. Anglerfish
The anglerfish are fish of the teleost order Lophiiformes (). They are bony fish named for their characteristic mode of predation, in which a modified luminescent fin ray (the esca or illicium) acts as a lure for other fish. The luminescence comes from symbiotic bacteria, which are thought to be acquired from seawater, that dwell in and around the sea. Some anglerfish are notable for extreme sexual dimorphism and sexual symbiosis of the small male with the much larger female, seen in the suborder Ceratioidei, the deep sea anglerfish. In these species, males may be several orders of magnitude smaller than females. Anglerfish occur worldwide. ''Grimpoteuthis'' is a genus of pelagic umbrella octopuses known as the dumbo octopuses. The name "dumbo" originates from their resemblance to the title character of Disney's 1941 film ''Dumbo'', having a prominent ear-like fin which extends from the mantle above each eye.
