Declan Chisholm
Declan Chisholm (born January 12, 2000) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the fifth round, 150th overall, of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Early life Chisholm was born on January 12, 2000, in Bowmanville, Ontario, to Paul Chisholm and Erin Fagan. As a young child, he battled a staphylococcal infection in his knee that required surgery; after spending some time using a walker, Chisholm joined a local youth ice hockey team, where he was placed on defence. Playing career Junior The Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) selected Chisholm in the second round, 24th overall, of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. Bowmanville, Ontario
Bowmanville is a town of approximately 40,000 people located in the Municipality of Clarington, Ontario, Clarington, Regional Municipality of Durham, Durham Region, Ontario, Canada. It is approximately east of Toronto, and east of Oshawa along Highway 2 (Ontario), Highway 2. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist. Players who gain an assist will get one point added to their player statistics. Despite the use of the terms "primary assist" and "secondary assist", neither is worth more than the other, and neither is worth more or less than a goal. Hurling ( ga, iománaíocht, ') is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic Irish origin, played by men. One of Ireland's native Gaelic games, it shares a number of features with Gaelic football, such as the field and goals, the number of players and much terminology. Nathan Thomas Schmidt (born July 16, 1991) is an American professional ice hockey player for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played for the Washington Capitals, Vegas Golden Knights and Vancouver Canucks. ''TSN Hockey'' (formerly the ''NHL on TSN'' and ''The NHL Tonight on TSN'') is the blanket title used by TSN's broadcasts of the National Hockey League. ''The Peterborough Examiner'' is a newspaper that services Peterborough, Ontario, Peterborough, Ontario and area.
