Deck Wars
''Deck Wars'' is a 2011 Canadian television series, airing on HGTV. It is considered a sister series to ''Decked Out'', and like ''Decked Out'', stars Paul Lafrance and his deck building crew. Unlike its sister series, ''Deck Wars'' is a game show that pits two teams of contestants against each other in building a deck in two days with a common theme. Format ''Deck Wars'' is filmed in an indoor warehouse. In each episode, two teams of two contestants must build a deck fitting a specified theme in two days. Both teams are given the same materials and an identical building facades set of tools, as well as the use of two of Paul's crew members; contestants may also bring in whatever materials that they deem necessary for their deck design. On the second day, two sets of furniture will be provided for decorating each deck; the team finishing first, as determined by Paul, will have their choice of furniture. ''Holmes on Homes'' is a Canadian television series featuring general contractor Mike Holmes visiting homeowners who are in need of help, mainly due to unsatisfactory home renovations performed by hired contractors. The series originally aired on Home & Garden Television in Canada, and also on several other Alliance Atlantis networks in Canada (including BBC Canada and Slice), as well as in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and on HGTV in the United States. It had previously aired in the US on Discovery Home until that channel was rebranded Planet Green on June 4, 2008. ''All American Handyman'' is a HGTV reality competition show between a group of handymen and women. The show is hosted Molly Culver, and judged by Mike Holmes and Scott McGillivray. It is a spin-off of ''Handyman Superstar Challenge'', with similar challenges. ''Income Property'' is a Canadian home-improvement program hosted by Scott McGillivray. The series premiered on HGTV Canada on September 29, 2008, and on January 1, 2009, on HGTV in the U.S. The program was a half-hour long for the first six seasons, and then expanded to an hour-long format starting with season 7. The show reverted to its half-hour format with the start of season 10. On March 8, 2016, it was named Best Lifestyle Program or Series at the 4th Canadian Screen Awards. Scott McGillivray (born April 7, 1978) is a Canadian entrepreneur, investor, television host, author and educator. ''Holmes Inspection'' is a 2009 Canadian home renovation series on HGTV, co-hosted by general contractor Mike Holmes and construction supervisor Damon Bennett. It is the third of Holmes' renovation series, following ''Holmes on Homes'' and '' Holmes in New Orleans''. The format of the series is similar to those of his previous series ''Holmes on Homes'', where Mike enters a home in need of repair and often finds substandard work.
