De Gooyer, Amsterdam
De Gooyer is a windmill in Amsterdam located between Funenkade and Zeeburgerstraat. It is the tallest wooden mill in the Netherlands at 26.6 meters high. It is registered as a National Monument. The names dates from the around 1609, when the mill was owned by Claes and Jan Willemsz, two brothers from Gooiland. It is also known as "The Funenmolen" ("The Mill on the Funen"). The Gooyer consists of a stone foundation topped by a wooden octagonal body. The mill is owned by the municipality of Amsterdam and is not open to visitors. Although the blades are functional, they no longer operate any grinding mechanism. Next to the mill, in the former municipal bathhouse dating back to 1911, is the Brouwerij 't IJ. The mill and the bathhouse building are unrelated, and the mill fulfils no function for the brewery despite the image of a mill being in the brewery logo. Windmill

Gooi
The Gooi () is an area around Hilversum, in the centre of the Netherlands. It is a slightly hilly area characterised by its green landscape, its historical charm, the wealth of its inhabitants, and its villas. The Gooi is known in the Netherlands as the home of the rich and famous. Name The name ''Gooi'' is related to ''gouw'', the Dutch word for " gau", being an old name for a 'region'. Brouwerij 't IJ
Brouwerij 't IJ (; English: The IJ Brewery) is a small brewery in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is located in a former bath house named ''Funen'', next to the De Gooyer windmill. The brewery was opened by Kaspar Peterson, a former musician, in October 1985 and was one of several small breweries that opened in cities around the Netherlands in response to consumers' dissatisfaction with beer brewed by the larger companies. The Oranje-Nassau Kazerne is a former military barracks in the centre of Amsterdam, along the Singelgracht (Amsterdam), Singelgracht canal, directly south of Natura Artis Magistra, Artis zoo. Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, Napoleon ordered the construction of this early 19th-century Neoclassical architecture, neoclassical building. Not long after construction of the building was complete in 1813, the French withdrew from the Netherlands, and the building was named in honour of the House of Orange-Nassau. The building received ''rijksmonument'' status in 1970.
