DeWayne Russell
DeWayne DeShawn Russell (born February 10, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the EWE Baskets Oldenburg of the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). College career Russell played his freshman season at Northern Arizona, averaging 14.4 points and 3.2 assists per game. Following the season he transferred to Grand Canyon. As a sophomore, he averaged 14.2 points and 3.9 assists per game, earning Second Team All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and WAC All-Newcomer Team honors. Russell averaged 9.7 points and 5.4 assists per game as a junior. On December 3, 2016, he scored a career-high 42 points, surpassing the program NCAA Division I record, in a 79–70 loss to Louisville. As a senior, Russell averaged 21.2 points and 5.4 assists per game, helping Grand Canyon achieve a 22–9 record. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Rhode Island Rams Men's Basketball
The Rhode Island Rams men's basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic 10 Conference. The team was recently under the direction of head coach David Cox, who was formerly Assistant Coach to Dan Hurley for four years at Rhode Island. The Rams play their home games at the Ryan Center (capacity 7,657) which opened in 2002. The Rams experienced their greatest success by making the Elite Eight in 1998, pulling within 3 points of making their first Final Four in just their 7th appearance before ultimately losing to Stanford. Daron "Fatts" Russell (born May 6, 1998) is an American basketball player for the Galatasaray Nef of the Basketbol Süper Ligi and the Basketball Champions League. He played college basketball for four years for Rhode Island, and after graduating he played one season for the Maryland Terrapins. Early life and high school career Russell grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and looked up to basketball player Kobe Bryant, who was born in the same city. His mother gave him the nickname "Fatts," which he has been called his entire life, because he was chubby as a baby. Russell played for Imhotep Institute Charter High School in Philadelphia, where he was coached by Andre Noble. Russell became its all-time leader in points, assists and steals. The 2019–20 Basketball Bundesliga, known as the easyCredit BBL for sponsorship reasons, was the 54th season of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), the top-tier level of professional club basketball in Germany, held from 24 September 2019 to 28 June 2020. The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the French basketball league system, 2nd-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987.
