Dax Holdren (born September 4, 1972 in Santa Barbara, California) is an American professional male beach volleyball player. Holdren is currently on the AVP tour playing with Jeff Nygaard. Holdren was a late-comer to the sport of volleyball and did not begin playing until his junior year in high school. He joined the AVP in 1997 and was the tour's rookie of the year."Dax Holdren." The duo had eight wins together, including a World Tour victory in 2000 that was reached through qualification. A beach is a landform alongside a body of water which consists of loose particles. The particles composing a beach are typically made from rock, such as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, etc., or biological sources, such as mollusc shells or coralline algae. Sediments settle in different densities and structures, depending on the local wave action and weather, creating different textures, colors and gradients or layers of material. Though some beaches form on inland freshwater locations such as lakes and rivers, most beaches are in coastal areas where wave or current action deposits and reworks sediments. Erosion and changing of beach geologies happens through natural processes, like wave action and extreme weather events. Michael Lambert (volleyball)
Michael Allen Lambert (born April 14, 1974, in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American volleyball player, who was a member of the United States men's national volleyball team that finished in ninth place at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia and eleventh at the 2000 Olympics. Lambert was born in Kaneohe, Hawaii. He went to Punahou School along with Stein Metzger. His subsequent partnership with Metzger in the AVP resulted in 9 titles. Lambert graduated from Stanford University in 1997 with a degree in political science. He and fellow AVP player Matt Fuerbringer were members of the 1997 NCAA National Championship team for volleyball. Kevin Kahn Wong (born September 12, 1972, in Honolulu, Hawaii) is a retired professional beach volleyball player. He currently lives in Hawaii and runs a volleyball training program for youth. Personal life Wong graduated from the Punahou School. He then attended UCLA and received his degree in economics in 1995. Wong was named to People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" issue in 2000. He was honored by the Chinese Historical Society of Southern California in "Celebrating Chinese Americans in Sports", May 2009.
