Dawson-Bryant High School is a public high school in Coal Grove, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Dawson-Bryant Local School District. Coal Grove, Ohio
Coal Grove is a village in Lawrence County, Ohio, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 2,165 at the 2010 census. It borders the city of Ironton and lies across the Ohio River from Ashland, Kentucky. It is linked to Ashland by the Ben Williamson Memorial Bridge and Simeon Willis Memorial Bridge. Coal Grove is a part of the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH, Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). As of the 2000 census, the MSA had a population of 288,649. History Coal Grove was once known as "Petersburg" or "Petersburgh." Its name has also been spelled "Coalgrove." Gallia Academy High School
Gallia Academy High School (GAHS) is a public high school near Gallipolis at Centenary, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Gallipolis City School District. The boys' sports teams are known as the Blue Devils, while the girls' teams are called the Blue Angels. History GAHS was founded as a military academy in 1811. The first official location was constructed in 1936. The original high school building was converted to a junior high school after construction of new facilities in the 1950s. In 2005, the local community voted and approved a proposal to build a new campus on Centenary Road outside of downtown Gallipolis. Portsmouth High School (Ohio)
Portsmouth High School (PHS) is a public high school in Portsmouth, Ohio, United States. The school's athletic teams are known as the Trojans and the school colors are red and blue. History PHS has served the city since its founding in the 1830s and is the only public high school in Portsmouth. In 2000, Portsmouth voters passed a much needed school bond issue, which helped construct new schools for the district. The new schools opened for the 2006–2007 school year. These schools won the Grand Prize from School Planning & Management's 2007 Education Design Showcase. The award is awarded annually to the K-12 school that displays "excellence in design and functional planning directed toward meeting the needs of the educational program." Fairland High School (FHS) is a public high school in Proctorville, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Fairland Local School District. The school and district have been rated "Excellent" by the ODE multiple times. At least 85% of the student population is proficient in math and 62% in reading. History Fairland High School was formed in 1949 as a consolidation of Proctorville High School and Rome Rural High School. From 1949-1956, students attended school at the former Rome Rural HS. Rock Hill High School (RHHS) is a rural, public high school near Ironton, Ohio. It is officially called Rock Hill Senior High School. It is the only high school in the Rock Hill Local School District. The high school is a four-year school, offering grades 9-12. Their nickname is the Redmen, and their mascot is an Indian Chieftain. Brief history The Rock Hill Local School District formerly consisted of four separate school districts, which were located in the towns of Decatur, Hanging Rock, Kitts Hill, and Pedro. This is a list of high school athletic conferences in Ohio, separated by Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) region. Some conferences have schools in multiple regions, and will be listed in all applicable regions. However, the conference information is on the region page where the most schools are classified in. Conference membership in Ohio is voluntary, rather than assigned by the state association like in some states. While this ensures that many rivalries stay intact regardless of classification changes, it also means schools can choose to change conferences pending acceptance into a different conference, or in rare cases, can be forced out of a conference.
