Dawid Tomala
Dawid Tomala (born 27 August 1989 in Tychy) is a Polish race walking, race walker. He is the reigning Olympic champion in the 50 kilometres race walk, 50 kilometres walk, having won the gold medal at the Athletics at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Tomala also represented his country at the Athletics at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012 London Olympics, finishing 19th in the 20 kilometres race walk, 20 km walk. He began race walking in 2003 at the UKS Maraton Korzeniowski club in Bieruń, Poland. He is coached by his father, Grzegorz Tomala. Dawid won multiple Polish national titles in racewalking. Tychy
Tychy (Polish pronunciation: ; german: Tichau; szl, Tychy) is a city in Silesia in southern Poland, approximately south of Katowice. Situated on the southern edge of the Upper Silesian industrial district, the city boders Katowice to the north, Mikołów to the west, Bieruń to the east and Kobiór to the south. The 2010 European Athletics Championships were the 20th edition of the European Athletics Championships, organised under the supervision of the European Athletic Association.
