Dawa Yangzum Sherpa
Dawa Yangzum Sherpa also known as Dawa Yangzum is a Nepali born mountain climber and the first woman to become an international mountain guide from Nepal. Life Dawa Yangzum started her professional mountain climbing in 2009 with Yala Peak marking her first summit. She has climbed five of the fourteen 8000ers so far. She became one of the iconic Nepali mountain climbers in the history after climbing the Mount Everest in 2012. In 2017, she received a certification from the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association and qualified to become an international mountain guide in the same year. In March 2019, she signed a professional agreement with a US outdoor recreation product company, making her one of the few professional Nepali mountaineers to be paid as an athlete by a major western company. Dolakha District
Dolakha, often known as Dolkha or Dholkha (Nepal Bhasa:दोलखा जिल्ला)), a part of Bagmati Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Charikot as its district headquarters, covers an area of and had a population of 204,229 in 2001 and 186,557 in 2011. It is a district with a strong religious affiliation. A mountain is an elevated portion of the Earth's crust, generally with steep sides that show significant exposed bedrock. Yala Peak
Yala Peak is a mountain in the Langtang area in Nepal. Location The summit of the peak is located at above sea level and it provides a vantage point from where Shishapangma , , can be seen. The Tsergo Ri giant landslide occurred close to Yala Peak. This peak is considered as a trekking peak by the Nepal Mountaineering Association, and is a relatively simple, non-technical climb. Eight-thousander
The International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation (UIAA) recognises eight-thousanders as the 14 mountains that are more than in height above sea level, and are considered to be sufficiently independent of neighbouring peaks. There is no precise definition of the criteria used to assess independence, and, since 2012, the UIAA has been involved in a process to consider whether the list should be expanded to 20 mountains. All eight-thousanders are located in the Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges in Asia, and their summits are in the death zone. Makalu
Makalu ( ne, मकालु हिमाल, Makālu himāl; zh, t=馬卡魯峰, p=Mǎkǎlǔ fēng) is the fifth highest mountain in the world at . It is located in the Mahalangur Himalayas southeast of Mount Everest, in Nepal. Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Akita
Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Akita (born 1984). is a Nepali Sherpa mountaineer. She was the first woman in Nepal to become a mountaineering instructor, was one of the first Nepali women to reach the summit of K2, and has been active in earthquake relief in Nepal. Arnold Coster (born Arnold Schiedam, 1976, Netherlands) is a Dutch mountaineer. Educated as a mechanical engineer, he became intensely involved with climbing at a young age when he started climbing in the Alps. He moved to Nepal in 2003 to follow his passion of mountaineering.
