Davis Karashani Arinaitwe (born 20 April 1987) is a Ugandan cricketer who is the current captain of the Uganda national cricket team, Ugandan national team. He is a right-handed batsman and a medium-fast bowler. He previously represented the Uganda national under-19 cricket team, Uganda under-19s at the 2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, 2004 and 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, 2006 Under-19 World Cups (in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, respectively). Mbarara City is a city in the Western Region of Uganda and the second largest city in Uganda after Kampala. World Cricket League
The ICC World Cricket League (WCL) was a series of international one-day cricket tournaments for national teams without Test status (i.e., teams of Associate status) administered by the International Cricket Council. All Associate Members of the ICC were eligible to compete in the league system, which featured a promotion and relegation structure between divisions. The league system had two main aims: to provide a qualification system for the Cricket World Cup that could be accessed by all Associate Members and as an opportunity for these sides to play international one-day matches against teams of similar standards. The ICC Intercontinental Cup was a first-class cricket tournament organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as part of its cricket development programme. It was designed to allow Associate Members of the ICC the chance to play first-class cricket matches over four days against teams of similar skill in a competition environment and prepare them for eventual promotion to Test cricket status. 2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2004 ICC Under-19 World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament played in Bangladesh from 15 February to 5 March 2004. It was the fifth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup and the first to be held in Bangladesh. The 2004 World Cup was contested by sixteen teams, including one (Uganda) making its tournament debut. After an initial group stage, the top eight teams played off in a super league to decide the tournament champions, with the non-qualifiers playing a separate "plate" competition. Uganda National Under-19 Cricket Team
The Uganda Under-19 cricket team represents the nation of Uganda in under-19 cricket at international level. Uganda has qualified for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup on three occasions—in 2004, 2006 and 2022. The team's best performance came in 2022, when it defeated Scotland in the 13th-place play-off.
