David Wyn Evans
David Wyn Evans (born 1 November 1965) is a former international rugby union player who represented the Wales national team on twelve occasions between 1989 and 1995. He played club rugby for Cardiff RFC and Treorchy RFC. Evans joined Cardiff RFC in 1984. He made his international début in 1989 against France. He played in all four of Wales' matches during the 1990 Five Nations Championship. Evans was named as part of the 1991 Rugby World Cup squad, and played in one game during the tournament, as a replacement fly half against Australia. In 1992, Evans left Cardiff after playing 117 games for the club and joined Treorchy RFC. The move seemingly ended his international career, but he was named in Wales' 1995 Rugby World Cup squad, and played one final game for the national team during the tournament, against Japan. Wootton Bassett
Royal Wootton Bassett , formerly Wootton Bassett, is a market town and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, with a population of 11,043 in 2001, increasing to 11,385 in 2011. Situated in the north of the county, it lies to the west of the major town of Swindon and northeast of Calne. Treorchy ( cy, Treorci; ) is a town and community (and electoral ward) in Wales. Once a mining town, it retains such characteristics. Situated in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf in the Rhondda Fawr valley. Treorchy is also one of the 16 communities of the Rhondda. It includes the villages of Cwmparc and Ynyswen. The 1995 Rugby World Cup was the third Rugby World Cup. It was hosted and won by South Africa, and was the first Rugby World Cup in which every match was held in one country. The World Cup was the first major sporting event to take place in South Africa following the end of apartheid. It was also the first World Cup in which South Africa was allowed to compete; the International Rugby Football Board (IRFB, now World Rugby) had only readmitted South Africa to international rugby in 1992, following negotiations to end apartheid.
