David T. Daniels
David Daniels (born February 1, 1957) is a Republican politician who since October 2020 is a Highland County, Ohio Commissioner. He previously served as the Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture from February 2012 until October 2018. From 2011 to 2012, he represented the 17th District as a member of the Ohio Senate. From 2003 to 2010, he served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 86th District. Daniels previously served as Highland County commissioner from 1997 to 2002. He was mayor of Greenfield, Ohio from 1988 to 1995, and served as a City Council from 1984 to 1988. Career Prior to government, Daniels and his father managed the Daniels Brothers Farm. Daniels served four years on Greenfield City Council and was Mayor for eight years. He also served as a Highland County Commissioner for six years. Ohio House Of Representatives
The Ohio House of Representatives is the lower house of the Ohio General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Ohio; the other house of the bicameral legislature being the Ohio Senate. The House of Representatives first met in Chillicothe on March 3, 1803, under the later superseded state constitution of that year. In 1816, the capital was moved to Columbus, where it is located today. Members are limited to four successive two-year elected terms (terms are considered successive if they are separated by less than four years). Tom Niehaus is an American former politician who served as President of the Ohio Senate from 2011 to 2012. He also was the state senator for the 14th District from 2005 to 2012. Clyde Evans (June 26, 1938 – August 11, 2021) was an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, who represented the 87th district from 2003 to 2010. Ohio Senate
The Ohio Senate is the upper house of the Ohio General Assembly. The State Senate, which meets in the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, first convened in 1803. Senators are elected for four year terms, staggered every two years such that half of the seats are contested at each election. Even numbered seats and odd numbered seats are contested in separate election years. The president of the Ohio Senate presides over the body when in session, and is currently Matt Huffman.
