David Speirs
David James Speirs (born December 15, 1984) is an Australian politician. He has been a Liberal member of the South Australian House of Assembly since the 2014 state election and leader of the Liberal Party since 19 April 2022. He represented Bright until 2018 and then Black following a redistribution of electoral boundaries. Speirs served as the Minister for Environment and Water in the Marshall Ministry between March 2018 and March 2022. Background and early career Speirs was born in Galloway, Scotland, where he was schooled at Kirkcolm Primary School and Stranraer Academy. He emigrated to Australia with his parents and two younger brothers at the age of 17 in 2002. In 2008 he graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Daniel Cornelius van Holst Pellekaan is a former Australian politician, representing the South Australian House of Assembly seat of Stuart for the South Australian Division of the Liberal Party of Australia from 2010 state election until he lost the seat in the 2022 state election. The Simpson Desert is a large area of dry, red sandy plain and dunes in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Queensland in central Australia. It is the fourth-largest Deserts of Australia, Australian desert, with an area of . The desert is underlain by the Great Artesian Basin, one of the largest inland drainage areas in the world. Water from the basin rises to the surface at numerous natural springs, including Dalhousie Springs, and at Water well, bores drilled along stock routes, or during petroleum exploration. Glenthorne National Park–Ityamaiitpinna Yarta is a national park in the southern Adelaide suburb of O'Halloran Hill, south of the city centre. The park opened to the public in November 2020, and O'Halloran Hill Recreation Park is in the process of transitioning to become part of it. The 2018 South Australian state election to elect members to the 54th Parliament of South Australia was held on 17 March 2018. Seacliff is a coastal suburb located in the capital city of South Australia; Adelaide. Iain Frederick Evans (born 18 April 1959) is a former Australian politician. He was leader of the South Australian Division of the Liberal Party of Australia from 2006 to 2007. Early life Evans attended Heathfield Primary and subsequently Heathfield High School.
