David Pavelka
David Pavelka (born 18 May 1991) is a Czech footballer who plays as a midfielder for Czech club Sparta Prague and the Czech Republic national team. Club career In the final of the Czech Cup on 27 May 2015, Pavelka took the first penalty in the shoot-out and converted his spot-kick as his club Slovan Liberec defeated Jablonec 3–1. On 19 January 2016, Pavelka moved abroad for the first time joining Kasımpaşa in the Turkish Süper Lig in a deal worth a reported $1.65m. He signed a contract until the end of the 2017–18 season. On 6 October 2020, Pavelka returned to his native country, signing for Sparta Prague in the Czech First League. International career Pavelka was selected to represent the Czech Republic at the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament held in France. Süper Lig
The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday. The competition was initially established in 1923. Czech Supercup
The Czech Supercup () was an annual football match between the winners of the Czech First League and the Czech Cup, organised by the Czech Football Association. It was last sponsored by Synot Tip and was therefore officially known as the Synot Tip Supercup. The Czech Supercup was discontinued in 2015 and replaced by the Czechoslovak Supercup from 2017 onward. The match was held at the home stadium of the league champion. The 2015–16 Czech First League, known as the Synot liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 23rd season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football league. Defending champions Viktoria Plzeň won the league for a second consecutive season, winning their fourth Czech title as a result. It began on 29 July 2011 and was originally due to end on 26 May 2012, although due to the Czech Republic's qualification for UEFA Euro 2012, the end of the season was brought forward to 12 May 2012. Viktoria Plzeň were the defending champions, having won their first Czech Republic championship the previous season. On 18 March the game between Jihlava and Mladá Boleslav was postponed due to heavy snow.
