David Palffy is a Canadian film and television actor of Welsh and Hungarian descent, best known for playing Anubis and Sokar on ''Stargate SG-1''. Early life David Palffy attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England. Career Palffy played the Goa'uld villains Sokar and Anubis in ''Stargate SG-1''. Erica Durance (; born June 21, 1978) is a Canadian actress. She is known for her role as Lois Lane in the WB/ CW superhero television series ''Smallville'' and as Dr. Alex Reid in the CTV medical drama ''Saving Hope''. Early life Durance was born in Calgary to parents Gail and Joel Durance, and grew up on a turkey farm with her older brother and sister in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. She was trained as a classical singer from childhood. After graduating from high school, Durance moved to Vancouver in 1999, to pursue her interest in acting professionally.
