Ann-Kristin "Kikki" Danielsson (born 10 May 1952) is a Swedish country, dansband and pop singer. Sometimes, she also plays the accordion and she has also written some lyrics. She has gained notice for yodeling in some songs. Danielsson gained her largest popularity in the Nordic region from the late 1970s until the late 1990s. She also gained popularity at the US country stage during the 1980s. In 1986, she had the "Kikki i Nashville" TV show. Life and work Danielsson was born in Osby, Sweden, and resides in Gävleborg. In total, she has participated nine times at the Swedish Melodifestivalen and one time at the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix. "Bra vibrationer" (; "Good vibrations"), written by Ingela Forsman and composed by Lasse Holm, was the entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 1985, performed by Kikki Danielsson. History Danielsson won the right to perform at the contest, held in Gothenburg, by winning the Swedish national final, Melodifestivalen 1985, where she was the first singer to perform. The song won by seven points over the second-place finisher, Dan Tillberg with his song "Ta min hand" ("Take my hand"). In Gothenburg, the song was performed sixteenth on the night, after 's Mariella Farré and Pino Gasparini with "Piano, Piano", and before 's Gary Lux with " Kinder dieser Welt". Following Herreys' victory in the previous year, Sweden were the hosts of the Eurovision Song Contest 1985. The venue chosen for the show was the country's second city, Gothenburg. In order to save money for the staging of the Eurovision Song Contest itself, the competition to select Sweden's national entry, Melodifestivalen 1985, Melodifestivalen, was a low-budget version in 1985. Of the ten entries, five went through to a second round, which was won by the song "Bra vibrationer (song), Bra vibrationer", written by Lasse Holm and Ingela Forsman, Ingela "Pling" Forsman and sung by Kikki Danielsson. Lise Haavik (born 23 February 1962) is a Norwegian-Danish singer, best known for representing Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest in Bergen, Norway in 1986. She is also well-known domestically for her partnership in the duo Trax with John Hatting, her ex-husband. Biography Early life Lise Haavik was born in Narvik, Norway on 23 February 1962. She moved to Denmark in 1982 to study economics at the University of Odense and the Copenhagen Business School. Haavik partnered with John Hatting in late 1983 and they soon married. At that point, she pursued music full-time and stopped her economics studies. Before Eurovision Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1986 The Danish national final to select their entry, the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, was held on 22 February 1986 at the Danmarks Radio Studios in Copenhagen, and was hosted for the ninth straight time by radio and television host Jørgen de Mylius. Five regional juries across Denmark selected the winning song out of five songs that survived a semifinal round.
