David Hone
David Jeremy Hone (born 30 June 1946) is an Australian former sportsman who played first-class cricket with Oxford University Cricket Club, Oxford University and Australian rules football for Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League (VFL). Hone spent the 1969 VFL season with the Melbourne Football Club as an amateur, and played 18 of a possible 20 games during year, mostly as a defender. An honours graduate from Monash University, Hone chose to continue his studies in England and became a student at Worcester College, Oxford, in 1970. His father Brian Hone had been a famous educator. He made three first-class cricket appearances for the university in 1970, as an opening bowler. The first was against Hampshire County Cricket Club, Hampshire, who were being captained by former West Indian Test cricketer Roy Marshall. Richard Victor Lewis (born 6 August 1947) is a former English cricketer. Lewis was a right-handed batsman. Biography Born on 6 August 1947 in Winchester, Hampshire, Lewis signed for Hampshire in 1967, making his first-class debut against Oxford University that year. In 1968 he became a regular player in the Hampshire team after making his County Championship debut against Somerset. He played in twelve first-class matches in 1968, scoring 349 runs at an average of average of 17.45, including a single century, 114 against Oxford University. In the 1969 season he made his List A debut against Yorkshire. Lewis spent nine years with Hampshire, during which he played 103 first-class matches and was a member of Hampshire's 1973 County Championship winning squad. He scored 3282 runs for Hampshire at an average of 18.97, with a highest score of 136. He made two centuries and thirteen fifties, and took 65 catches. The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an international movement whose aims are the education and stimulation of mainly retired members of the community—those in their third 'age' of life. There is no universally accepted model for the U3A.
