David Gomberg
David Gomberg (born June 9, 1953) is a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 10 on the state's central coast since January 14, 2013. He served in political staff and lobbying positions in Oregon prior to his election to the Legislature. He's the retired head of his own kite design and construction business. Education Gomberg earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Oregon State University in 1976 when he also served as student body president. In 1977, he earned a master's degree from Oregon State University in Political Science, Economics, and History. In 1981, Gomberg earned an MBA from Willamette University's Atkinson Graduate School of Management. Oregon's 10th House District
District 10 of the Oregon House of Representatives is one of 60 House legislative districts in the state of Oregon. As of 2021, the boundary for the district includes the entirety of Lincoln County and portions of Polk and Lane counties and is centered around Newport and Lincoln City on the central Oregon Coast. 2018 Oregon Legislative Election
The 2018 elections for the Oregon Legislative Assembly determined the composition of both houses for the 80th Oregon Legislative Assembly. The Republican and Democratic parties held primary elections on May 15, 2018 with general elections on November 6, 2018. As a result of the elections, the Democratic Party expanded its advantage in both houses of the state legislature. The Republican Party, also referred to as the GOP ("Grand Old Party"), is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States. The secretary of state of Oregon, an elected constitutional officer within the executive branch of government of the U.S. state of Oregon, is first in line of succession to the governor. The duties of the office are auditor of public accounts, chief elections officer, and administrator of public records. Jean Cowan
Jean Cowan (born 1947) is an American Democratic politician who served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2007 until 2013. Career Cowan served as city councillor and mayor of Elgin, and then as a Lincoln County Commissioner for 12 years, and served on many state advisory bodies. She was elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2006. Cowan was chair of the Veterans and Emergency Services Committee during the 75th Assembly, and co-chair of the Natural Resources Subcommittee during the 76th Assembly.
