David Foskett (academic)
David Foskett (born 1951), MBE is a professor at the University of West London, England. Foskett is a member of the Academy of Culinary Arts and the Craft Guild of Chefs. Foskett received the 2003 Education and Training Award, one of The Catey Awards for that year. In 2004, Foskett received a special award from the Craft Guild of Chefs for Outstanding Recognition and in 2007 he was awarded the grade "Chevalier dans l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole" from the President of France. In 2015 he was named "National Hero" by the Craft Guild of Chefs in recognition of his long years of service promoting the hospitality industry. In 2013 Foskett was a recipient of the Foodservice Order of Merit from the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA). Member Of The Most Excellent Order Of The British Empire
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female. There is also the related British Empire Medal, whose recipients are affiliated with, but not members of, the order. Recommendations for appointments to the Order of the British Empire were originally made on the nomination of the United Kingdom, the self-governing Dominions of the Empire (later Commonwealth) and the Viceroy of India. Young Chef Olympiad is an International Cooking Competition based in India founded by Dr. Suborno Bose. It is currently in its 5th season. Season 1 The International Young Chef Olympiad 2015 was held in the city of Kolkata, India. The Ministry of Tourism (India), Government of India supported the world’s first such event. The event was declared open at the City Centre (Salt Lake City, Kolkata) on 29 January 2015. James Trevor Oliver MBE OSI (born 27 May 1975) is an English chef, restaurateur and cookbook author. He is known for his casual approach to cuisine, which has led him to front numerous television shows and open many restaurants.
