David Boldt
David Boldt (January 21, 1918 – December 31, 2007) was a farmer and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Rosthern from 1960 to 1975 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Liberal. He was born in Osler, Saskatchewan, the son of Jacob B. Boldt, a native of the Netherlands, and was educated there, going on to complete a degree in Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan A university () is an institution of higher (or tertiary) education and research which awards academic degrees in several academic disciplines. The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to the Legislative Assembly. All are single-member districts, though the cities of Regina, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw were in the past represented through multi-member districts, with members elected through Block Voting. The Saskatchewan Liberal Party is a liberal political party in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The party was the provincial affiliate of the Liberal Party of Canada until 2009. Osler, Saskatchewan
Osler is a town in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, founded in the 1890s. The community was named after Sir Edmund Boyd Osler (1845–1924), who was an Ontario-based explorer, railroad financier, and Member of Parliament. The town has a library, seniors' centre, volunteer fire department, gas station, grocery store and first responders, leisure centre, two schools, and four churches. Osler is about 20 km north of Saskatoon.
