''Starlight Express'' is a 1984 British musical, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Richard Stilgoe. It tells the story of a young but obsolete steam engine, Rusty, who races in a championship against modern engines in the hope of impressing a first-class observation car, Pearl. Davey Adams
David Robertson Adams (14 May 1883 – 29 November 1948) was a Scottish footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Celtic at the start of the 20th century. Career Born in Angus but raised largely in the Falkirk area, Adams joined Celtic near the end of 1902 from Junior side Dunipace, and made his first appearance in September 1903 in a 1-0 win over Hibernian at Celtic Park. He went on to play 291 Scottish Football League and Scottish Cup games for Celtic in a nine-year spell at the club, and was the last goalkeeper at the club to wear green-and-white hoops in games; after a rule change in 1910 specifying goalkeepers must wear a different colour, he wore a yellow jersey. Adams was a virtual ever-present in what is regarded as the first truly great Celtic side that won six consecutive Scottish League titles from 1904–05 to 1909–10. David Laird Adams (1837–1892) was a Scottish academic who was professor of Hebrew and oriental languages at the University of Edinburgh. David Adams (born 1939) is an American peace activist, scientist, scholar, writer and journalist. As a Professor at Wesleyan University he ran a brain research laboratory and published many scientific articles. Adams then served at UNESCO, where he worked on the Culture of Peace initiative that eventually led to the International Year for the Culture of Peace. Adams is currently the Coordinator of the Culture of Peace News Network and author of several books on this subject. David Adam (1936 – 24 January 2020) was a British Anglican priest and writer. Adam was born in Alnwick, Northumberland. When he left school at 15, he went to work underground in the coal mines for three years before training for ordained ministry at Kelham Theological College. He was vicar of Danby-Castleton-Commondale in North Yorkshire for over 20 years, where he began writing prayers in the Celtic pattern. He later became rector of Holy Island, Lindisfarne, where he ministered to thousands of pilgrims and other visitors. He was made a canon of York Minster in 1989. He lived on the coast near Lindisfarne. Writings Adam's first book in the Celtic vein, ''Edge of Glory'', achieved immediate popularity.
