Dave Davies (reporter)
Dave Davies (born February 14, 1953) is an American print and broadcast journalist. Early life and education Davies was born in Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1975. Career For 25 years, Davies was a reporter and columnist on government and politics for the ''Philadelphia Daily News''. From 1982 to 1986, he covered City Hall and other beats, and served as news director for one year. Davies became a senior reporter at public radio station WHYY-FM in 2010. He covers Philadelphia government and politics, and he produces enterprise reports on emerging city and regional issues for WHYY's multimedia news outlets. His blog, ''Off Mic'', is featured on WHYY's NewsWorks.org. Davies is also a regular fill-in host for Terry Gross on NPR’s ''Fresh Air'', heard on more than 500 public radio stations. Ed Rendell
Edward Gene Rendell (; born January 5, 1944) is an American lawyer, prosecutor, politician, and author. He served as the 45th Governor of Pennsylvania from 2003 to 2011, as chair of the national Democratic Party, and as the 96th Mayor of Philadelphia from 1992 to 2000. Born in New York City to a Jewish family from Russia, Rendell moved to Philadelphia for college, completing his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and J.D. from Villanova University School of Law. He was elected District Attorney of Philadelphia for two terms from 1978 to 1986. He developed a reputation for being tough on crime, fueling a run for Governor of Pennsylvania in 1986, which Rendell lost in the primary. KYW (AM)
KYW (1060 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to serve Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is one of the oldest continuously operating radio stations in the United States, originating in Chicago before moving to Philadelphia in 1934. KYW's unusual history includes its call sign of only three letters, beginning with a K, rare for a station in the Eastern United States.
