Dave Callan
David Gerard Callan (born 20 September 1975) is an Irish-born stand-up comedian, who has had a career in television and radio, and is based in Melbourne, Australia. Up until 2010 he worked as a Triple J disc jockey. Biography Callan was born in Dundalk, Ireland, and arrived in Australia in 1990, aged 15. He spent part of his teenage years in Perth where he attended Chisholm Catholic College. Radio career Callan hosted the mid-dawn shift at Triple J on Sundays from 1am to 6am for most of 2005 until it was discontinued. He continued to host the Triple J show ''Pirate Radio'' from 6pm until 9pm on Saturday evenings. The show features party music, mash-ups, and many unusual regular callers referred to as 'carnies', including Steph from Tamworth, Evil Me, and Jarred from Bunbury. Dundalk
Dundalk ( ; ga, Dún Dealgan ), meaning "the fort of Dealgan", is the county town (the administrative centre) of County Louth, Ireland. The town is on the Castletown River, which flows into Dundalk Bay on the east coast of Ireland. It is halfway between Dublin and Belfast, close to the border with Northern Ireland. It is the eighth largest urban area in Ireland, with a population of 39,004 as of the 2016 census. Having been inhabited since the Neolithic period, Dundalk was established as a Norman stronghold in the 12th century following the Norman invasion of Ireland, and became the northernmost outpost of The Pale in the Late Middle Ages. James O'Loghlin (born 1966) is an Australian comedian, television and radio presenter. He works for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Local Radio evening program in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Sam Simmons (born 19 March 1976) is an Australian comedian and radio and TV presenter. Career Simmons has appeared on '' Conan'', ''8 Out of 10 Cats'', ''Room 101'', '' Adam DeVine's House Party'' and is currently developing his own sitcom in the UK. Raw Comedy
Raw Comedy is an Australian annual competition for emerging stand-up comedians held by Melbourne International Comedy Festival. It was established in 1996 and is supported by national youth radio station Triple J. In 2011, there were 1,100 contestants. Heats take place in major Australian cities through January, February and March. State semi-finals and finals are held in the state capitals in March. Melbourne International Comedy Festival
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) is the largest stand-alone comedy festival and the second-largest international comedy festival in the world.
