Daton Fix
Daton Duain Fix (born March 11, 1998) is an American freestyle and folkstyle wrestler who competes internationally at 61 kilograms, and collegiately at 133 pounds. In freestyle, he was the 2021 World Championship runner-up, the 2019 Pan American Games gold medalist, the 2022 Pan American Continental champion and is a two-time US World Team Member (2019 and 2021). In the age-group, he was the 2017 Junior World Champion (three-time medalist) and 2014 Youth Olympic silver medalist. In folkstyle, he is a three-time NCAA Division I National runner–up, and a two-time and the reigning Big 12 Conference champion for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Charles Page High School is a high school in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, United States, named after the philanthropist Charles Page. It is the only public High school (North America), high school in Sand Springs. History Charles Page High School was built in 1959, constructed to replace Sand Springs High School, which is now the former Central Ninth Grade Center/Virtual Center. On August 21, 1964, five black students were refused enrollment at Charles Page which was at that time an all-white high school. The 2021 United States World Team Trials for wrestling were held at the Pinnacle Bank Arena of Lincoln, Nebraska, from September 11 to 12, 2021. Collegiate wrestling (also known as folkstyle wrestling) is the form of wrestling practiced at the college and university level in the United States. This style of wrestling, with some slight modifications, is also practiced at high school and middle school levels, and also among younger participants. The rules and style of collegiate or folkstyle wrestling differs from other styles of wrestling that are practiced around the world such as those in the Olympic Games, freestyle wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling. Freestyle wrestling is a style of wrestling originated from Great Britain and the United States. Along with Greco-Roman, it is one of the two styles of wrestling contested in the Olympic Games. American high school and men's college wrestling is conducted under different rules and is termed scholastic and collegiate wrestling. American collegiate women's wrestling is conducted under freestyle rules. Freestyle wrestling, like collegiate wrestling, has its greatest origins in catch-as-catch-can wrestling. Wrestling at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 25 to 27 August at the Longjiang Gymnasium in Nanjing, China. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter a maximum of 5 competitors, 2 in Boys' Freestyle, 2 in Boys' Greco-Roman and 1 in Girls' Freestyle. 98 athletes, 70 male and 28 female qualified over five continental qualification tournament. Each continent qualified 1 athlete in each event while the Americas in Boys' Freestyle, Asia in Boys' Greco-Roman and Girls' Freestyle and Europe in all three qualified a second athlete in each event. Despite being hosts, China was not given any quotas and had to qualify normally. A further 14, 10 male and 4 female athletes was decided by the Tripartite Commission.
