The third season of the ''Date A Live'' anime series, titled ''Date A Live III'', was produced by J.C.Staff and directed by Keitaro Motonaga. Like the rest of the series, it follows the adventures of Shido Itsuka and the Spirits, supernatural female entities that have fallen in love with him. This season adapts volumes 8 to 12 of the light novels by Kōshi Tachibana and Tsunako. ''Date A Live III'' ran from January 11 to March 29, 2019, on Tokyo MX in Japan. The opening theme is titled "I Swear" performed by sweet ARMS, and the ending theme is "Last Promise" performed by Eri Yamazaki. The fourth season of the ''Date A Live'' anime series, titled ''Date A Live IV'', was produced by Geek Toys and directed by Jun Nakagawa. Like the rest of the series, it follows the adventures of Shido Itsuka and the Spirits, supernatural female entities that have fallen in love with him. The season was scheduled to premiere in October 2021, but was delayed to April 2022 for "various reasons". Fumihiko Shimo wrote the fourth season's scripts, with Naoto Nakamura designing the characters and Go Sakabe returning to compose the series' music. It aired from April 8 to June 24, 2022. is a Japanese light novel series written by Koushi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. Fujimi Shobo published 22 volumes from March 2011 to March 2020 under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint.
