Daryl Williams (rugby Union)
Daryl Richard Williams (born in Auckland, 30 September 1964) is a New Zealand-born Samoan rugby union player. He plays as a fly-half. He attended High School at Waitākere College. Career A Hurricanes injury replacement player at the end of the 1996 season, loose forward Daryl Williams played the final two matches against the Chiefs and the Waratahs after earlier returning from a playing career in France. Former Western Samoa lock Williams was a Manawatu player out of Feilding, playing seven matches for Manawatu in 1996. He was also selected in the New Zealand Maori side, but did not play as he was subsequently found to be ineligible. He was also a New Zealand Colts trialist in 1985. His first international cap was against Ireland, at Lansdowne Road, on 29 October 1989. 1995 Rugby World Cup
The 1995 Rugby World Cup was the third Rugby World Cup. It was hosted and won by South Africa, and was the first Rugby World Cup in which every match was held in one country. The World Cup was the first major sporting event to take place in South Africa following the end of apartheid. It was also the first World Cup in which South Africa was allowed to compete; the International Rugby Football Board (IRFB, now World Rugby) had only readmitted South Africa to international rugby in 1992, following negotiations to end apartheid. The World Cup was also the last major event of rugby union's amateur era; two months after the tournament, the IRFB opened the sport to professionalism. 1991 Rugby World Cup
The 1991 Rugby World Cup was the second edition of the Rugby World Cup, and was jointly hosted by England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and France: at the time, the five European countries who participated in the Five Nations Championship. This was the first Rugby World Cup to be staged in the northern hemisphere, with England the hosts of the final. Also for the first time, qualifying competitions were introduced as the number of entrants had increased from 16 nations four years before to a total of 33 countries. The eight quarter-finalists from 1987 qualified automatically with the remaining eight spots contested through qualifiers by 25 countries. This resulted in only one new side qualifying for the tournament, Western Samoa replacing Tonga. The same 16-team pool/knock-out format was used with just minor changes to the points system. Waitākere College
Waitākere College is a state coeducational secondary school located in Henderson, Auckland, New Zealand, established in 1975. A total of students from Years 9 to 13 (ages 13 to 18) attend Waitākere College as of Students entering the college are allocated into one of three "Houses". The house names use Māori words: Aroha (Love), Manawanui (Perseverance), and Matauranga (Knowledge). Their respective mascots are; a Dragon, a Lion and a Dolphin. During the course of the year students can earn points for their house with good behaviour in class and good marks. These points are added up every week in a house assembly to determine the winner for that particular week. This also happens at the end of terms and a final one at the end of the year shows which house has won that year with the most points. Feilding Old Boys Oroua is a rugby club based at Nelson Street in Feilding and Kimbolton Road in Kimbolton, Manawatū District, New Zealand. It is a constituent club of the Manawatu Rugby Union and play under the name "The Stags", although the club is often referred to as "FOBO".
