Darren Mickell
Darren Mickell (born August 3, 1970) is an American former college and professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons during the 1990s and early 2000s. Mickell played college football for the University of Florida, and thereafter, he played professionally for the Kansas City Chiefs, the New Orleans Saints, the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders of the NFL. The Florida Gators football program represents the University of Florida (UF) in American college football. Florida competes in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They play their home games in Steve Spurrier-Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (nicknamed "The Swamp") on the university's Gainesville campus. The 1991 Florida State Seminoles football team represented Florida State University in the 1991 NCAA Division I-A football season. The team was coached by Bobby Bowden and played their home games at Doak Campbell Stadium. This was Florida State's final season as an independent; it joined the Atlantic Coast Conference the following season. Florida State finished the season ranked #4 in both polls.
