Darren McCartney
Darren McCartney (born 1973 or 1974) is an Irish Anglican bishop. He was the suffragan bishop of the Arctic in the Anglican Church of Canada from 2012 to 2019, after which he returned to Ireland to serve in parochial ministry. McCartney was ordained in 2004 and began his career as priest in charge of Pangnirtung. Priest In Charge
A priest in charge or priest-in-charge (previously also curate-in-charge) in the Church of England is a priest in charge of a parish who is not its incumbent. Such priests are not legally responsible for the churches and glebe, but simply hold a licence rather than the freehold and are not appointed by advowson. The appointment of priests in charge rather than incumbents (one who does receive the temporalities of an incumbent) is sometimes done when parish reorganisation is taking place or to give the bishop greater control over the deployment of clergy. Legally, priests in charge are '' temporary curates'', as they have only spiritual responsibilities. Carrickfergus
Carrickfergus ( , meaning " Fergus' rock") is a large town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It sits on the north shore of Belfast Lough, from Belfast.
