Darren McAsey
Darren McAsey (born 16 June 1965), also known as Harry McAsey, is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Sydney Swans in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL). Career McAsey, the son of 1950s Footscray player Alan McAsey, played his junior football at Spotswood, but was residentially tied to the Swans, which recruited him into the Under 19s in 1982. He kicked 60 goals for the Under 19s in his first season and captained the side in 1983. During this time he was also a Victorian Teal Cup representative. He played reserves football in 1984, then made his senior debut in the opening round of the 1985 VFL season and made a total of 11 league appearances that year. Still living in Altona in 1985, McAsey made the move to Sydney the following year. The 1986 season didn't begin for McAsey until round 20, when he called into the side to play Richmond at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. David Bolton (Australian Footballer)
David Bolton (born 13 July 1960) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Geelong Football Club, Geelong and Sydney Swans, Sydney in the Australian Football League, Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL). A Geelong Under-19s player, Bolton was recruited to Woodville Football Club, Woodville by coach Rodney Olsson and he performed well in his three years at the club. Bolton, who played as a wingman, joined Geelong in 1984 and made his debut in the opening game of the season. Sydney acquired his services in 1986, the same year he represented Australia in the 1986 International Rules series, International Rules series against the touring Irish team. 1990 AFL Draft
The 1990 AFL draft was the 5th annual draft of Australian rules footballers to the 14 clubs in the Australian Football League. It consisted of the national draft held at the end of the 1990 season, the pre-season draft held before the 1991 AFL season, and a mid-season draft. Clubs receive picks based on the reverse of the position in which they finish on the ladder during the season. This was introduced as an equalisation strategy in response to the increasing transfer fees and player salaries. National draft rules The minimum draft age for the 1990 national draft was 16. Fitzroy Football Club
The Fitzroy Football Club is an Australian rules football club currently competing in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). Formed in 1883 to represent the inner-Melbourne municipality of Fitzroy, the club was a member of the Victorian Football Association (VFA), before becoming a foundation member of the breakaway Victorian Football League (VFL/AFL) in 1897. Fitzroy won a total of eight VFL premierships, of which seven (1898, 1899, 1904, 1905, 1913, 1916 and 1922) were won whilst they were nicknamed the Maroons and one (1944) as the Gorillas.
