Darren Cuthbertson
Darren Cuthbertson (born 7 April 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL) during the early 1990s. Cuthbertson had started out in the Melbourne Under-19s after coming to the club from Epping and is best remembered for a run of 19 goals in three weeks which he kicked in his fourth, fifth and sixth AFL games. Epping Football Club
Epping Football Club is an Australian rules football club located in the suburb of Epping in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne. It plays in the Northern Football League (formerly the Diamond Valley Football League). History The Epping Football Club was formed in 1895. The club began playing social matches up until joining the Whittlesea and District Football Association in 1904. In 1906 the Bourke-Evelyn Football Association was formed with Epping as one of the foundation teams. The club remained in the Bourke-Evelyn Football Association until the league folded in 1932, winning 10 Premierships along the way. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Through the AFL Commission, the AFL also serves as the sport's governing body and is responsible for controlling the laws of the game. The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Waverley Park
Waverley Park (also and originally called VFL Park) was an Australian rules football stadium in Mulgrave, Victoria, Australia. For most of its history, its purpose was as a neutral venue and used by all Victorian-based Victorian Football League/Australian Football League clubs. However, during the 1990s it became the home ground of both the Hawthorn and St Kilda football clubs. It ceased to be used for AFL games from the 2000 season following the opening of Docklands Stadium. It is currently used as a training venue by Hawthorn.
