Darrell McKee
Darrell McKee (born c. 1963) is a Canadians, Canadian curling, curler from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He is a Canadian Senior Curling Championships, Canadian Senior Champion, two-time SaskTel Tankard, provincial champion in men's, one-time Saskatchewan mixed champion, and five-time Saskatchewan senior champion. Curling career McKee and Bruce Korte have long been teammates, and together formed teams among the best in Saskatchewan. They have been teammates on and off since 1998. For most of that time, McKee played third for Korte, but beginning in 2009, McKee and Korte switched positions. Korte and McKee played in their first the Brier, Brier together in 2000, after winning the provincial championship, along with teammates Roger Korte and Rory Golanowski. The team finished the round robin off with a 5-6 record, short of the playoffs. Nutana Curling Club
The Nutana Curling Club is a curling club located in the neighbourhood of Nutana Suburban Centre in south-central Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The club was organized in 1929 at the Nutana Collegiate Institute. The club was first opened in 1930 at the corner of Dufferin Avenue and Main Street in the Nutana neighbourhood of the city. In 1966, it moved to its current suburban location at the corner of Arlington Avenue and Taylor Street. The club hosts the annual Colonial Square Ladies Classic, one of women's events on the World Curling Tour and former Grand Slam of Curling event. It also hosts the annual Point Optical Curling Classic on the men's World Curling Tour. Additionally, it hosted the 1999 Canadian Senior Curling Championships and the 1993 TSN Skins Game. Grand Slam Of Curling
The Grand Slam of Curling (branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that are a part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women (with the 2006 Players' Championship also considered a Slam), but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels. Bryan Cochrane
Bryan Cochrane (born October 9, 1957 in Winchester, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Russell, Ontario. Cochrane is most notable for winning the 2019 World Senior Curling Championships for Canada, and skipping team Ontario at the 2003 Nokia Brier and later team PEI at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier. Curling career After repeatedly making it to provincial championships, and failing to win, finally Cochrane in 2003 became only the fourth Ottawa-based team to play in the Brier. 2019 Canadian Senior Curling Championships
The 2019 Everest Canadian Senior Curling Championships, Canada's national 50+ curling championship was held March 22 to 28 at the Chilliwack Curling and Community Centre in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The winning teams were supposed to represent Canada at the 2020 World Senior Curling Championships, but it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was the first event to be held at the new Chilliwack Curling and Community Centre facility. Jason Jacobson
Jason Jacobson (born June 8, 1977) is a Canadian curler from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Career Jacobson won the 2009 Saskatchewan provincial mixed championship playing second on a team skipped by Darrell McKee. The team represented Saskatchewan at the 2009 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, where they finished third. After finishing 9-2 in the round robin, they would lose in the semi-final to Ontario. Jacobson is a long-time competitor on the World Curling Tour. He played in his first Grand Slam event playing third for the Jeff Sharp rink at the 2003 Players' Championship, where they would lose all of their matches. The next season Jacobson joined the Brad Heidt rink at third. The team played in two Grand Slams in the 2003-04 season. They failed to make the playoffs at the 2003 Canadian Open but did much better at the 2004 Players' Championship, placing in 4th place after losing in a rare 3rd place game. Jeff Stoughton
Jeffrey R. "Jeff" Stoughton (born July 26, 1963) is a Canadian retired curler. He is a three-time Brier champion and two-time World champion as skip. Stoughton retired from competitive curling in 2015. He is one of the most successful Manitoba skips in curling history, and one of the most successful players in Canadian curling history. He is currently the National Men's Coach and Program Manager for Curling Canada, as well as being the head coach of the Canadian Mixed Doubles National Team. Career Stoughton's first national championship came in 1988 when he won the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship.
