Darkoo is a Nigerian-born British rapper and singer. She came to prominence following the release of her single "Gangsta", featuring One Acen, which peaked at number 22 on the Official Singles Chart, and peaked at number one, on the UK Afrobeats Chart of 2020. Early life Darkoo was born in Lagos, Nigeria, moving to the UK at the age of 7 and being raised in South London. Career Darkoo began releasing music at the age of 15, starting out as a drill rapper before beginning to incorporate singing into her music. In late 2019 she released the single "Gangsta", featuring British rapper One Acen. The song came to prominence on TikTok and entered the Official Singles Chart at number 34 in November 2019, eventually reaching a peak of 22 in January 2020. The UK Afrobeats Singles Chart, is a chart that ranks the best-performing Afrobeats singles in the UK. Its data is published and compiled by Official Charts Company, from digital downloads, physical record sales, and audio streams in UK retail outlets. At the end of a year, OCC will publish an annual list of its 20 most successful Afrobeats songs, throughout that year on its website, and BBC Radio 1Xtra's website. Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie (born 21 January 1994) known by the stage name Camidoh is a Ghanaian Afropop, R&B and Afrobeats songwriter and musician. Early life and education Camidoh was born in Aflao in the Volta Region of Ghana and raised by a single mother in Ho, the capital of Volta Region, Ghana.
