Dariusz Bugajski
Dariusz Rafał Bugajski is a Polish Navy officer, scholar and professor of public international maritime law specializing in the law of the sea, law of naval operations, naval warfare, and international security, including climate challenges. Education Bugajski earned a Master of Engineering from the Polish Naval Academy and thereafter, a Master of Arts in Law from the University of Gdańsk. He received a Doctorate of Security from the Polish Naval Academy, and a habilitation in international law at the Faculty of Law at Szczecin University in 2009, and graduated from postgraduate security studies too. Career Bugajski served in the 8th Coastal Defence Flotilla in Świnoujście and thereafter, as a commanding officer of an Anti-submarine Warfare Naval Ship (Fast Attack Craft) in Kołobrzeg. Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski
Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski (), often referred to as Ostrowiec, is a city in southeastern Poland, in the historical region of Lesser Poland, with 66,258 residents (as of 2021). The town is one of historic centers of Polish industry and metallurgy, and was part of the Old-Polish Industrial Region, the oldest industrial basin of the country. Ostrowiec is the capital city of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski County, part of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (since 1999), previously it belonged to Kielce Voivodeship (1975–1998). It received town charter in 1613. Ostrowiec lies on the Kamienna river. Its northern districts are located in the Iłża Foothills, while southern part belongs to the Opatów Upland. Fast Attack Craft
A fast attack craft (FAC) is a small, fast, agile, offensive, often affordable warship armed with anti-ship missiles, gun or torpedoes. FACs are usually operated in close proximity to land as they lack both the seakeeping and all-round defensive capabilities to survive in blue water. The size of the vessel also limits the fuel, stores and water supplies. In size they are usually between 50–800 tonnes and can reach speeds of . A fast attack craft's main advantage over other warship types is its affordability. Many FACs can be deployed at a relatively low cost, allowing a navy which is at a disadvantage to effectively defend itself against a larger adversary. A small boat, when equipped with the same weapons as its larger counterpart, can pose a serious threat to even the largest of capital ships.
