Dariush Eghbali
Dariush Eghbali ( fa, داریوش اقبالی ), known mononymously as Dariush (), is an Iranian singer. Biography Childhood and Youth Dariush was born in Tehran to parents from Mianeh on 4 February 1951. He spent his early years in Mianeh, Karaj and his musical talent was first recognized at age nine when he appeared on stage at his school. Hassan Khayatbashi introduced him to the public at age 20 through Iranian national television. He gained popularity for his song "Don't Tell Me You Love Me". (Persian: به من نگو دوست دارم ) Before the Islamic Revolution Before the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Dariush was named the most popular singer in Iran by a youth magazine in 1977. Tehran
Tehran (; fa, تهران ) is the largest city in Tehran Province and the capital of Iran. Radio Farda ( fa, راديو فردا, lit=Radio Tomorrow, ''Radio Farda'') is the Iranian branch of the U.S. government-funded Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) external broadcast service for providing "factual, objective and professional journalism" to its audiences. It broadcasts 24 hours a day in the Persian language from its headquarters in the district Hagibor of Prague, Czech Republic. Radio Farda first aired December 2002. Farid Zoland ( fa, فرید زلاند), also romanized as Zaland) (born 1 September 1951 in Kabul) is an Afghan songwriter and composer. Throughout his career he has collaborated with many musicians from other countries, most notably from Iran. Early life He comes from a family of musicians with father Jalil Zaland and siblings Shahla Zaland and Wahid Zaland. Education After receiving preliminary education in music from his father in Kabul, Zaland continued a formal education in music at the University of Tehran. He studied music score, theory, and composition at the University of Southern California from 1980 to 1982.
