Darienne Lake
Greg Mayer (born November 27, 1971), better known by the stage name Darienne Lake, is a drag queen and television personality. Lake began performing in drag in 1990 in Rochester, New York before rising to prominence after competing on the sixth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'', placing fourth. Early life Lake was born in Long Island, New York and moved to Rochester at age eleven. At age eighteen, her mother kicked her out of her home due to her sexual orientation; her mother has since apologized. Career Early work Lake’s drag career began in Rochester, New York following her first year of college in 1990. RuPaul's DragCon LA
RuPaul's DragCon LA is an annual expo of drag culture held in Los Angeles billed as a "convention that celebrates 'the art of drag, queer culture and self-expression for all'", which debuted in 2015. Its sister event is RuPaul's DragCon NYC started in 2017, and is considered the "world's largest celebration of drag culture." The event is an outgrowth of the internationally successful ''RuPaul's Drag Race'', which generated '' Drag Race Thailand'', ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK'', ''RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars,'' and Chile's ''The Switch Drag Race''. RuPaul's Drag Race (season 2)
The second season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' premiered on February 1, 2010, and aired its final episode on April 26, 2010. On May 1, 2009, the casting website for the series opened, allowing prospective contestants to create user profiles and upload videos of themselves to be voted on by viewers; the applicant collecting the most votes being invited to become a contestant of the second season. Short Film
A short film is any motion picture that is short enough in running time not to be considered a feature film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits". Melanoma
Melanoma, also redundantly known as malignant melanoma, is a type of skin cancer that develops from the pigment-producing cells known as melanocytes. Melanomas typically occur in the skin, but may rarely occur in the mouth, intestines, or eye (uveal melanoma).
