Kaspar Rostrup
Kaspar Rostrup (born 27 April 1940) is a Danish film director. Two of his films won the Best Film prize at the Bodil Awards : ''Jeppe på bjerget'' (1981) and ''Waltzing Regitze'' (1989). The latter was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. ''Jeppe på bjerget'' was entered into the 12th Moscow International Film Festival. 1982 Cannes Film Festival
The 35th Cannes Film Festival was held from 14 to 26 May 1982. The Palme d'Or was jointly awarded to '' Missing'' by Costa Gavras and ''Yol'' by Şerif Gören and Yılmaz Güney. Danish Culture Canon
The Danish Culture Canon ( da, Kulturkanonen) consists of 108 works of cultural excellence in eight categories: architecture, visual arts, design and crafts, film, literature, music, performing arts, and children's culture. An initiative of Brian Mikkelsen in 2004, it was developed by a series of committees under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Culture in 2006–2007 as "a collection and presentation of the greatest, most important works of Denmark's cultural heritage." Each category contains 12 works although music contains 12 works of score music and 12 of popular music and the literature section's 12th item is an anthology of 24 works. Architecture The committee for architecture was asked to choose 12 works covering both buildings and landscaping. It was decided that works could either be in Denmark designed by one or more Danes or abroad designed by Danish architects. Eva Gram Schjoldager (born 8 May 1966) is a Danish actress and child star. In 1981, Shjoldager received international attention for her leading role as the bullied schoolgirl, Elin, in Nils Malmros's coming-of-age drama '' Tree of Knowledge'' ('' Kundskabens træ''). Bodil Award For Best Danish Film
The Bodil Award for Best Danish Film ( da, Bodilprisen for bedste danske film) is one of the categories for the Bodil Awards presented annually by the Danish Film Critics Association. It was created in 1948 and is one of the oldest film prizes in Europe. The jury can decide not to give out the award if no deserving films are submitted. This has occurred once, in 1974. Comedy Film
A comedy film is a category of film which emphasizes humor. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement. Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending (black comedy being an exception). Comedy is one of the oldest genres in film and it is derived from the classical comedy in theatre. Some of the earliest silent films were comedies, as slapstick comedy often relies on visual depictions, without requiring sound. When sound films became more prevalent during the 1930s, comedy films took another swing, as laughter could result from burlesque situations but also dialogue. Comedy, compared with other film genres, puts much more focus on individual stars, with many former stand-up comics transitioning to the film industry due to their popularity.
