Danilo Kalafatović
Danilo Kalafatović ( sr-cyr, Данило Калафатовић; 27 October 1875 – 1946) was a Serbian military officer and Army general (Kingdom of Yugoslavia) who served in the armies of the Kingdom of Serbia ( Royal Serbian Army) and Kingdom of Yugoslavia ( Royal Yugoslav Army) during the first half of the 20th century. During the Second World War, he was briefly Chief of the General Staff and Supreme Commander of Yugoslavia. Biography Kalafatović was born on 27 October 1875 in Konarevo. At the end of World War I, Kalafatović became head of the operational section of the Serbian general staff. During the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia, on 13 April 1941 General Kalafatović was named Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Yugoslav Army by King Peter II, succeeding General Dušan Simović, who was also serving as Prime Minister. Aleksandar Cincar-Marković ( sr-Cyrl, Александар Цинцар-Марковић; 20 June 1889 – 1947) was a Serbian politician who was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He is noteworthy for his role in the Yugoslav accession talks to the Tripartite Pact, holding meetings with Adolf Hitler on 28 November 1940 to receive assurances in Germany–Yugoslavia relations. After the Yugoslav accession to the Tripartite Pact on 25 March 1941, the Yugoslav coup d'état was launched two days later by anti-Axis segments of the Yugoslav armed forces, removing Cincar-Marković from power. Dušan Simović
Dušan Simović (; 28 October 1882 – 26 August 1962) was a Yugoslav Serb Army general (Kingdom of Yugoslavia), army general who served as Chief of the General Staff (Yugoslavia)#Royal Yugoslav Armed Forces (1920–1941), Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Yugoslav Army and as the Prime Minister of Yugoslavia in 1941. Officer Simović, born on 28 October 1882 in Kragujevac, attended elementary school and two years of high school in his hometown. Due to his interest in military matters, he left high school and entered the Military Academy (Serbia), Military Academy in Belgrade. He completed the Military Academy course in 1900, when he was promoted to second lieutenant of artillery. He completed the Higher School of the Military Academy in 1905. He married Snežana Tadić (1883–1971), a Serbian-Ukrainian-Croatian pharmacist from Valjevo, and daughter of Milorad Tadić (1861–1940), in October 1908. They had three sons and four daughters.
