Daniel Lönn
Daniel Lönn (born 18 August 2001) is a Swedish politician of the Sweden Democrats party who was substitute Member of the Riksdag in 2023, serving due to parental leave of Sara Gille. He represented the Dalarna County constituency. Lönn was born in Borlänge. He worked for one year as a school teacher before becoming a local authority worker and later a parliamentary assistant to SD representative Mats Nordberg. He is chairman of the Young Swedes SDU in Dalarna and is a member of the regional council of Borlänge. In 2023, Lönn was appointed to the Riksdag following the death of Mats Nordberg. Dalarna County (Riksdag Constituency)
Dalarna County ( sv, Dalarnas Län) is one of the 29 multi-member constituencies of the Riksdag, the national legislature of Sweden. The constituency was established as Kopparberg County in 1970 when the Riksdag changed from a bicameral legislature to a unicameral legislature. It was renamed Dalarna County in 1998. It is conterminous with the county of Dalarna. The constituency currently elects nine of the 349 members of the Riksdag using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. Mats Nordberg
Mats Nordberg (14 April 1958 – 15 January 2023) was a Swedish politician and member of the Riksdag representing the Sweden Democrats party for the constituency of Dalarna County. Nordberg also worked as a tree surgeon and in forestry. He served on Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Policy in the Swedish parliament. Nordberg died in office on 15 January 2023, at the age of 64 after a period of illness. Medine Sara Borita Gille formerly ''Seppälä'' (born 8 September 1981) is a Swedish politician and a member of the Riksdag for Sweden Democrats party. Biography Gille was born in Sweden, her mother is Swedish while her father is Kurdish, but she was mostly raised in foster care. She graduated with a degree in medicine and worked as a nurse in a hospital and an assisted living facility. She has been active in politics since 2014. She has described honour violence and forced marriages as issues which inspired her to take an interest in becoming a politician, having relatives who were subjected to both and has called for both practices to be outlawed in Sweden. Borlänge
Borlänge is a locality in Dalarna County, Sweden with 44,898 inhabitants as of 2020. It is the seat of the Borlänge Municipality with a total population of 51,604 inhabitants as of 2017. History Originally Borlänge was the name of a tiny village, and the first historical information about it is from 1390. The village was insignificant up until about 1870. In 1872 the construction of ''Domnarfvets Jernverk'', the ironworks of neighbouring village Domnarvet started. In 1875 a railway between Falun and Ludvika, via Borlänge was inaugurated. Young Swedes, ( sv , Ungsvenskarna ), have been the youth section within the Sweden Democrats since 1 October 2015. National spokesperson since October 2022 is Emil Eneblad. According to Jimmie Åkesson, the party leader of the Sweden Democrats, the sections main goal is to "attract young people to vote for the party". The section itself says that its main task is to "prepare young people to become future Sweden Democratic politicians." They uses the Engelbrektsbågen as a symbol and describes itself as democratic and socially conservative with a nationalist outlook. Unlike the former youth section Sweden Democratic Youth, the Young Swedes demands that its members are also members of the Sweden Democrats. The minimum age for membership in the section is 13 years. Rasmus Giertz (born 3 June 1994 in Enköping) is a Swedish politician of the Sweden Democrats party who has served as a Member of the Riksdag for the Dalarna County constituency since September 2022. Biography Giertz was elected regional leader of the Young Swedes SDU (the youth wing of the SD) in Dalarna in 2018.
