Rasmus Giertz
Rasmus Giertz (born 3 June 1994 in Enköping) is a Swedish politician of the Sweden Democrats party who has served as a Member of the Riksdag for the Dalarna County constituency since September 2022. Biography Giertz was elected regional leader of the Young Swedes SDU (the youth wing of the SD) in Dalarna in 2018. He later became the regional chairman for the SD in Dalarna in 2022 and stood for the party during the 2022 Swedish general election in the Dalarna County constituency, but was not elected and instead designated as a substitute for Sara Gille. Following the election, Giertz was appointed to the seat after Gille went on maternity leave. He serves as a member of the foreign affairs committee in the Riksdag. In 2022, Giertz was appointed as a full member of the Riksdag to fill in for Mats Nordberg who died in office. Borlänge
Borlänge is a locality in Dalarna County, Sweden with 44,898 inhabitants as of 2020. It is the seat of the Borlänge Municipality with a total population of 51,604 inhabitants as of 2017. History Originally Borlänge was the name of a tiny village, and the first historical information about it is from 1390. The village was insignificant up until about 1870. In 1872 the construction of ''Domnarfvets Jernverk'', the ironworks of neighbouring village Domnarvet started. In 1875 a railway between Falun and Ludvika, via Borlänge was inaugurated. Thanks to its railway station the village of Borlänge became highly important in servicing the ironworks. Falun
Falun () is a city and the seat of Falun Municipality in Dalarna County, Sweden, with 37,291 inhabitants in 2010. It is also the capital of Dalarna County. Falun forms, together with Borlänge, a metropolitan area with just over 100,000 inhabitants. Falun was originally famous for its copper mine, and is today an important service and industrial city even though the mine is closed (since 1992). Faluån is a river, flowing through the city, separating it into two sides. Falu copper mine is located on one of the sides which during many centuries was one of Sweden's main business. This side of the river was usually called "the mining side", where not many plants grew due to the toxic smoke which contaminated the soil. On the other side of the river, where the smoke did not reach, set many large villas, which made this side to be called "the delightful side". Mats Nordberg
Mats Nordberg (14 April 1958 – 15 January 2023) was a Swedish politician and member of the Riksdag representing the Sweden Democrats party for the constituency of Dalarna County. Nordberg also worked as a tree surgeon and in forestry. He served on Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Policy in the Swedish parliament. Nordberg died in office on 15 January 2023, at the age of 64 after a period of illness. Dalarna County ( sv, Dalarnas Län) is one of the 29 multi-member constituencies of the Riksdag, the national legislature of Sweden. The constituency was established as Kopparberg County in 1970 when the Riksdag changed from a bicameral legislature to a unicameral legislature. It was renamed Dalarna County in 1998.
