Danny Webb (born 6 June 1958) is an English television and film actor. He is best known for his roles as the prisoner Morse in the movie ''Alien 3'', Thomas Cromwell in ''Henry VIII'' and as John Maynard Jefferson in the two part ''Doctor Who'' story ''The Impossible Planet'' and ''The Satan Pit'' in 2006. Early life Webb was born on 6 June 1958 to Eileen and Maurice Webb. He attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated in 1977. Career Webb has appeared in many British television programmes, including ''The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles'', ''Our Friends in the North'', ''A Touch of Frost'', ''Agatha Christie's Poirot'', ''The Bill'', ''Midsomer Murders'', ''Silent Witness'' and '' Shackleton''. David "Danny" Weberman (May 24, 1906 — September 16, 1983) was an American voice actor. Early life Webb was born on May 24, 1906, in New York City to Herman Weberman, a Hungarian Jewish furrier, and Lena (née Rubin) Weberman. Herman left Budapest and moved to the United States in 1887 and worked as a salesman. Career When Webb arrived in Hollywood, he was using the name Dave Weber. He did celebrity impersonations on the Burns & Allen anniversary show along with doing voice work for a Screen Gems cartoon called ''Sing Time'', where he impersonated Bing Crosby, Rudy Vallee, Eddie Cantor, Andy Devine and others. He started working for Warner Bros. in the mid-1930s and his first cartoon was '' The Coo-Coo Nut Grove''. He also voiced Egghead in ''Daffy Duck & Egghead'', Elmer Fudd in ''Cinderella Meets Fella'' (1938) and in ''Believe It or Else'' (1939). Robert Wyatt McDaniel Webb (August 18, 1989 – October 14, 2017) was an American professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago White Sox from 2013 through 2016. Baseball career Toronto Blue Jays Webb attended Heath High School in Paducah, Kentucky. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected him in the 12th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft, but he did not sign with Arizona. Webb attended Northwest Florida State College. He was then drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 18th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft and signed. Daniel John Webb (born 2 July 1983) is an English former footballer who played as a defender and is employed as Assistant Manager at Chesterfield, having initially been appointed as First Team Coach. He previously served as Leyton Orient first-team manager in 2017. Playing career Southend United Webb started his career as a trainee at Southampton but failed to break into the Saints' first team squad. In December 2000, Webb was brought to Southend United for a fee of £10,000 by his father David, who had recently taken over as manager of Southend in September. Webb went on to make 39 appearances for the Shrimpers between 2000 and 2002, scoring four goals, but found his first team opportunities limited after his father's resignation in October 2001, following which Daniel had two loan spells at Brighton & Hove Albion in 2001–02 and 2002–03, where he made a total 16 appearances and scored one goal against Notts County, however a permanent move failed to materialise. Daniel Webb (1718/19 – 2 August 1798) was an Irish writer on aesthetics whose works enjoyed a considerable vogue for a time. Life Webb was born at Maidstown, County Limerick, in 1718 or 1719, the eldest son of Daniel Webb of Maidstown Castle, and his wife Dorothea, daughter and heiress of M. Leake of Castle Leake, County Tipperary. He matriculated from New College, Oxford, on 13 June 1735. Following his studies he went to Rome, where he became friendly with the Neoclassical painter Anton Raphael Mengs who painted his portrait. On his return to Britain he published his ''Inquiry into the Beauties of Painting'' (1760). Winkelmann later accused him of having plagiarised the work from the unpublished manuscript of Mengs' treatise ''Gedanken über die Schönheit''. In later life he lived mainly at Bath. Lieutenant General Daniel Webb (died 11 November 1773) was a British Army general made famous for his actions during the French and Indian War. He purchased a commission as ensign on 20 March 1720. He was promoted to major of the Eighth Horse, in 1742, and served at the Battle of Dettingen in 1743. In April 1745 he was promoted lieutenant colonel of the regiment, and served at the Battle of Fontenoy. He was promoted to colonel of the 48th Regiment of Foot in 1755. Seven Years War Webb sailed to North America as a subordinate of Lord Loudoun who was travelling to become commander-in-chief of Britain's American colonies. Dan Webb (born 13 August 1989), is an Australian musician, entrepreneur, music journalist and critic. Career Early in his music career, Webb garnered much attention for his energetic and partly improvised live shows. One of Webb's most notable stage antics at the time involved him playing his keyboard behind his back, in a style similar to Jimi Hendrix. He has collaborated with a number of artists over the years, including Greg Saunier, Kylie Auldist, Bobby Flynn, actress Ashleigh Cummings and the horn sections of The Cat Empire and The Black Seeds. In 2011 he played five shows in a UK tour, played two sets at St Kilda Festival and supported Conway Savage.
