Daniel Tudor (footballer)
Daniel Ovidiu Tudor (born 1 June 1974) is a Romanian football coach and a former goalkeeper. Whilst at Unirea Urziceni he played in the UEFA Champions League. On 20 October 2009 he memorably saved a Steven Davis penalty to help his side win 4–1 at Rangers. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 campaign, being currently on the 29th place in UEFA's league coefficient ranking list. The Hungarian Cup ( hu, Magyar Kupa) is the Hungarian cup competition for football clubs. It was started by the Hungarian Football Association, the ''Magyar Labdarúgó Szövetség,'' in 1909, eight years after the commencement of the Hungarian League ( hu, Nemzeti Bajnokság). Besides all of the professional clubs of Hungary numerous amateur sides take part every year. These have to qualify through local cup competitions. The most successful participant in the Magyar Kupa has been Ferencváros with 24 wins, followed by local rivals MTK with 12 cups. The current holder is Ferencváros, having won their 24th title in 2022. Steven Davis (born 1 January 1985) is a Northern Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Scottish Premiership club Rangers and captains the Northern Ireland national team.
