Daniel Sams
Daniel Richard Sams (born 27 October 1992) is an Australian international cricketer. He made his international debut for the Australia cricket team in December 2020. Career Sams made his first-class cricket debut for New Zealand side Canterbury in the 2017–18 Plunket Shield season on 30 October 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Sydney Sixers in the 2017–18 Big Bash League season in December 2017, taking four wickets for fourteen runs, at the time the best figures by a debutant in the tournament. He made his List A debut for New South Wales in the 2018–19 JLT One-Day Cup in September 2018. In June 2019, Sams was selected to play for the Vancouver Knights franchise team in the 2019 Global T20 Canada tournament. Milperra, a suburb of local government area City of Canterbury-Bankstown, is located 24 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district in the state of New South Wales, Australia, and is a part of the South Western Sydney region. The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament, with the matches played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from 17 October to 14 November 2021. Limited overs cricket, also known as one-day cricket or white ball cricket, is a version of the sport of cricket in which a match is generally completed in one day. The 2019 Global T20 Canada was the second edition of the Global T20 Canada, a 20-over professional cricket tournament, played at the CAA Centre, Brampton, Ontario. The 2018 JLT One-Day Cup was the 50th season of the official List A domestic cricket competition in Australia. It was played over a four-week period at the start of the domestic season to separate its schedule from the Sheffield Shield season. The 2017–18 Big Bash League season or BBL, 07 was the seventh season of the KFC Big Bash League, the professional men's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament started on 19 December 2017 and finished on 4 February 2018. Perth Scorchers were the defending champions. The 2017–18 Plunket Shield was the 89th season of the Plunket Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition in New Zealand. The competition started on 23 October 2017 and finished on 5 April 2018. Canterbury were the defending champions. The round eight fixture between Canterbury and Auckland at the Mainpower Oval in Rangiora was called off due to an unsafe pitch. The umpires abandoned the game after only three balls were bowled on day three of the match.
